General

Why should I choose Mark One?

Mark One invests in their staff to make sure that they have the knowledge and ability to best serve their customers. We have a high level of investment in up to date equipment. Equipment is serviced and maintained to the highest levels in our own modern, fully equipped workshops staffed by qualified mechanics.

Equipment specification

Mark One Hire reserves the right to amend, alter, increase or decrease hire charges on our website and in our catalogues as well as add new items or withdraw listed items shown. All illustrations, technical details and prices shown in the catalogue are intended as a guide only and may not be identical to the particular equipment available for hire. Please ask a member of Mark One staff for help or advice on any of our equipment.

How to hire and off-hire

How do I reserve equipment?

To reserve equipment there are three options; call into your nearest depot, telephone one of our help desks or use our website.

Do you have any special weekend rates?

We offer a weekend rate; from 3pm on a Friday until 10am on Monday, we will only charge a full one day rate. This does not apply to Powered Access equipment.

Do I need to leave a deposit?

If you have an account with Mark One Hire, you don’t need to leave a deposit. If you don’t have an account you will need to leave an authorised credit card as a deposit.

How do I arrange to off hire?

To off-hire equipment please visit one of our depots or call them by telephone. You cannot arrange off hire at the time of hiring or with the driver, the off hire has to be direct with the hire depot.

Payment options

How do I pay?

Cash, cheque and all major credit and debit cards are accepted.

How do I open a business account?

Most of our business is on account and we welcome new trade accounts. Simply download the online account form and send it to us as we require a signature before the account is opened. We offer a fast track account system and we can usually open an account within an hour.

How do I choose which equipment I need?

If you need any help choosing equipment, our staff are trained and happy to help.

Delivery and collection options

We have a large fleet of delivery vehicles that provide a timed delivery slot dependent on customer need.

If you would prefer to collect, we have ample parking at all of our depots for easy access and loading. Our knowledgeable staff will advise on the type of vehicle you need along with anything you need to take into account, i.e. weight.

Training

Does Mark One Hire offer training on its equipment?

At the time of hire our knowledgeable staff will show you how to use each piece of equipment, but this should not take the place of certified training where appropriate, i.e. IPAF and PASMA

Does Mark One offer certified training?

Mark One Training is pleased to offer a range of training courses including IPAF and PASMA certified courses. We have two fully equipped IPAF and PASMA approved training centres in Southend and Chelmsford.

Can training be accredited to Driver CPC?
